Another beautiful day in Great Falls! But it’s the windiest day we’ve had in several weeks – which is odd, because I don’t recall any similar weeks-long stretch of non-windy days. My gauge for “windy” is kind of simple: if I think it’s too windy to launch my drone, then it is officially “windy!” And today is windy 🙂 But not too hot, plenty of blue sky, and low humidity. For August – heck yes, I’ll take it!
The Photo Of The Day (above) is from August 27, 2014 – it was a billboard that asked “What’s Shaking?” There was a whole lot of guessing in Great Falls – was it promising something tropical? A new restaurant? There was another billboard that said, “Shaken Not Stirred,” leading to more speculation – a new dance club, perhaps?
When it came time for the big reveal, well…I don’t recall anyone being excited about the announcement – most people that I heard from were a bit disappointed.
Regardless of whether anyone was thrilled or not – that was certainly a clever marketing campaign.
The Link Of The Day is for the Wikipedia page of Paul Reubens – aka Pee Wee Herman. Today is his birthday – 70 years old! And did you know that his father is considered one of the “founding fathers” of the Israeli Air Force?
The Song Of The Day is “Reach Out And Touch” – but this isn’t just a “regular” music video. It marked the incredible return of Teddy Pendergrass to the public stage after his horrific crash in 1982 – he is introduced by Ashford & Simpson, and the video might just bring you to tears.
