The Game Of Great Falls

Welcome to mid-week! Hot, hazy, wind is picking up – but just another 24-36 hours until a cold front drops us into the 30s and 40s!

The Photo Of The Day (above) is part of the board of The Game Of Great Falls. I think it was released in 1984 as part of the city’s centennial celebration.

The Link Of The Day is to the Wikipedia page for a 1984 movie called “The Stone Boy.” I have not seen it, but filming took place in and around Cascade and Great Falls. Have you ever watched it?

Lots of people remember and even still talk about “Thunderbolt & Lightfoot,” and sometimes even “Holy Matrimony” and “Northfork,” but I’ve never heard anyone talk about this one.

The Song Of The Day is from Pizzicato Five – it’s called “Sweet Soul Revue.”

The first time I heard Pizzicato Five was in September 1994 when I lived in the Bay Area (CA) – the song was “Twiggy/Twiggy (vs James Bond),” and it was unlike anything I had ever heard. The incredible “catchiness” of it, the amazing and cheesy keyboard music – magical!

But “Sweet Soul Revue” might be my favorite P5 tune:
