We had a fun Saturday afternoon! Another trip to The Block, followed by our first visit to the new arcade and adjoining ice cream shop!
I got my regular steak and cheese on sourdough – and even though there was more pesto than usual, it was delicious.
And some mac-and-cheese for a side.
Then we headed next door to the new SideQuest Arcade Bar – fun! Video games, pinball machines, and an air-hockey table.
My wife relived some of her younger days by playing Tapper, and I dropped some coin to play Galaga for the first time in…many years.
We tried two of the pinball machines, but they weren’t working 🙁 so we got our money back from the staff for those.
Then we went next door to Big Dipper Ice Cream, which was celebrating its first official day of business. They have locations in Missoula, Helena, and Billings, and now in Great Falls.
Had some samples, took a couple of pints home, and were impressed by the courteous staff. Some pretty cool flavors!
All three of the businesses are open from 11am until 11pm, and they are all connected so you can walk between them without having to step out in the rain (it was raining on Saturday).
And then a stop next door at Central Avenue Meats – managed by the super-friendly Paul and staffed on Saturday with the husband of one of my co-workers! Picked up some burgers and placed an order for some ribeye steaks.
They have this cute little display that kids love 🙂
Pretty fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
