Taco Treats

Posted on September 10, 2022September 10, 2022 By David In Great Falls

If you like Mexican food, now is a good time to celebrate – there are two new full-service Mexican restaurants opening soon!

The first one is La Cocina, which we’ve talked about before – but now there is an official sign AND an opening date! They will open on Friday, September 16, at 11 a.m. I suspect they will have very good turnout.

La Cocina, as I understand it, is owned by the former managers of Fiesta En Jalisco, which closed a few weeks ago. We were sad – it was pretty good. I thought it was the best Mexican food in town – and it had some really fun decor. Looking forward to this!

La Cocina is in the building formerly occupied by the Fox Farm Diner at 1709 Alder Drive (behind Dairy Queen). They’ve been good about keeping folks updated on their Facebook page:

AND! The old Fiesta building (in the NE side of the mall parking lot) apparently will soon be a NEW Mexican restaurant – this one is called Mi Rancho.

I don’t know any of the details yet, such as opening day or owners, but they’ve put up a small sign and are hiring.

And don’t forget – there is also a new Taco Bell opening on the east side of town:
