It took us a while, but we finally tried P. Gibson’s – and we liked it. It’s been open for (IIRC) a little more than three years now.
It’s at the corner of 10th Avenue South (Country Club Boulevard) and Fox Farm – before it became P. Gibson’s it was Beef O’Brady’s, a Baja Fresh & Canyon Burgers, Monty’s A Taste Of The West, and Elmer’s restaurant.
Service was great – they were pretty busy on this Sunday, and our waitress was hustling – but she kept up and did it with good cheer.
We enjoyed some chips and queso – quite tasty.
Of course, I had a double-cheeseburger – that’s the baseline for establishing a quality rating at a restaurant! Very delicious! The fries were pretty good – not great, but definitely good.
And my wife opted for fish and chips – and said it was probably the best in Great Falls. Unlike most fish, theirs was not overly-breaded – very good ratio of breading to fish!.
Atmosphere – well, it doubles as a sports bar, so there are plenty of TV screens, and it was rather dark, but enjoyable.
Also: I liked the name of this product 😀
Overall verdict: yes! Will be back for more.
Next up: we have to try the “new” Bar S! They’ve revamped their menu and I’ve seen TV commercials – I am cautiously optimistic!
