Farewell, NW Pizza Hut

Posted on July 26, 2023July 26, 2023 By David A. Sherman

The Pizza Hut on the NW side of Great Falls – in the parking lot of the former Westgate Mall – has closed.

They sent a mailer to people a few days ago – not sure if the whole town, or just in the NW area – announcing the closure, saying that they are looking for a new location.

It’s a bit sad for me, because that Pizza Hut store is one of the few places that my wife remembers going to with her father, who died when she was just six years old in 1974.

I can’t think of any other restaurant in city limits that remained in the same location with the same name/food for 50+ years.

The question, then, is – what will happen to the building? Will it be demolished? Converted for another use?
