A beautiful, bright, sunny day in Great Falls! As of 9:40 a.m., it’s about 68 degrees – not too bad for August! – and headed into the lower 90s. A very slight bit of haze looking south toward the Little Belts.

The Photo Of The Day – it’s from either 2007 or 2008 – is the former Triple Crown Motor Inn at the corner of Central Avenue and 7th Street.

The owner had an adorable dachshund named Joshua who was the “mascot” of the hotel, and when he died she posted on the sign.

RIP, Joshua

The Triple Crown Motor Inn became the Greystone Inn a short time after that, and closed a few years ago.

It is now being renovated into a “boutique” hotel called The Gibson.

And the Link Of The Day is for a very nice rental property in Great Falls – it’s a bit out of my price range, but if you’ve got $3K to spend on rent every month, check it out.
