Former bar/restaurant/coffee shop

The building at 10th Avenue South and 25th Street was demolished over the last couple of days. I don’t know what might be going up in its place, but I’ve seen some rumors that it will be a convenience store, gas station, and car wash.

The building was home (years ago) to the kind of iconic Shamrock Bar, and also was host for years to a neat coffee bar called San Remo.

And for a few years, it was the second home of Goode’s Q & Bayou Grill. The first home of Goode’s was the little log-cabin on 15th Street North (formerly Pine Cone Patio, Pam’s Friendly Diner, and now The Roadhouse).

The Goode brothers really went all-in with decor with the decor at the new location! Here are some pix of it back in September 2011:
