Tried the new MT Pints place a few days ago. It’s in the space that originally was home to Faster Bassett, and then became Big Mouth BBQ. It’s co-located with The Front Brewing Company (or Jeremiah Johnson Brewery?), as before, in the building in front of Staybridge Suites.

One notable change from previous incarnations: table service! Yep, a server comes up to your table and takes your order and delivers your food.
The menu only offers a few items, and I tried some large pretzels and a double cheeseburger. The pretzels were pretty good – would definitely get them again!

The French fries were, sadly, nearly un-eatable. Flavorless, crunchy. If a restaurant wants to earn my undying gratitude, fresh-cut fries are probably the best way to start 🙂

The burger was…not great. Not bad, but not great – I give it a grade of “C.” The bun was wonderful, but the meat was just kind of bland and not particularly juicy.
I stuck with my usual cola, and my wife gave the “Bobcat” beer a try, and she enjoyed it.
Still, it was not a bad experience. They’ve only been open for a few weeks and are likely still testing things out – maybe the menu will expand, they will experiment with the food based on feedback, etc. There’s still a pretty nice atmosphere, and there was a good-sized crowd during our visit.
Will definitely go back to give it another try!
If you haven’t tried MT Pints yet, give it a shot. I wish them well!
