Ocean Star Seafood Co.

“Ocean Star Seafood Co.”

Posted on September 30, 2024November 22, 2024 By David In Great Falls

It looks like Great Falls is going to get a new seafood restaurant!

A sign is up stating “Ocean Star Seafood Co.” is coming soon to the building that also is home to Chili’s in the Great Falls Marketplace.

CAT Graphics in Great Falls (cool company!) made the banner and said in a Facebook post: “The new seafood restaurant is one step closer to opening with this beautiful new banner.”

I haven’t been able to get any info about Ocean Star, such as when it will open – but a seafood restaurant will be a GREAT addition to our community.

UPDATE: confirmed! Set to open in January (fingers crossed)!

The building previously hosted the Macaroni Grill, which opened in 2008. For some reason, I never tried it.

The owners switched it to the Moonshine Grill/Shoot The Moon in late 2012.

The Moonshine Grill closed in late 2015. That was sad – wife and I really enjoyed it – nice atmosphere, good food – my wife really liked their catfish.

In 2018, it became Black Bear Diner, which closed in 2023. We ate there a couple of times – fun decor, but the food was kind of average.
