Mommy turkey and her babies

Monday, August 29, 2022

Woke up to yet another beautiful, sunny, not-too-hot day in Great Falls! Happy Monday, everyone!

The Photo Of The Day (above) is a mommy turkey and her babies – they cruised by our house a few weeks ago – and made another appearance on Sunday – the babies are getting bigger!

During the summer of 2020, there was a wild turkey running around the neighborhood – she was nicknamed “Mrs. Butters” by people on Facebook. We think this is Mrs. Butters and her four “kids” – our friend Frankie says the babies should be called “pats” (butter pats, get it?). Love it!

Here’s a video clip of Sunday’s stroll:

The Link Of The Day is to the City of Great Falls list of public parks – there are dozens of them. Some are awesome, fun, and scenic 🙂 while a few are not much more than a patch of grass. Get out there and check out some parks that you HAVEN’T been to!

The Song Of The Day is a true P-Funk classic – “Not Just Knee Deep” from Funkadelic.

You may recall it was used during the “insane asylum” scene in the silly and entertaining movie “Good Burger” – in which George Clinton himself appears and dances! Here’s a lo-quality version:
