Great Falls protesters rally against Roe v. Wade repeal

Great Falls protest

Posted on June 28, 2022June 28, 2022 By David In Great Falls

Big group of people turned out to protest on Sunday – rallying against Friday’s decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn the Roe vs. Wade decision.

By my estimation, about 200 people showed up along the Central Avenue (1st Avenue North) bridge and in front of the federal court building.

I’m no expert on crowd-counting, however, and my time recording this video may not have been at the “peak” time.

Many signs, much honking, music blaring. Some of the signs were humorous/punny, others a bit vulgar.

For now, the SCOTUS decision doesn’t have an immediate impact on Montana – it is one of the states that currently does not outright ban abortion. But…that may change, depending on the next session of the Montana Legislature.
