RIP, Schwan’s Trucks

Posted on October 8, 2020October 8, 2020 By David In Great Falls

If you’re a Schwan’s customer, you may already have been notified that they will no longer be delivering in Great Falls.

To be more precise, Schwan’s drivers will no longer be delivering food from Schwan’s trucks.

Cathy alerted me to this a few days ago, and when we got our delivery a few days ago, our regular Schwan’s delivery man told us the bad news. And today we received a formal letter from Schwan’s notifying us of the change.

So now, orders will be delivered via UPS:

I had never even heard of “home food delivery” until I arrived in Montana nearly 20 years ago, but have come to really enjoy some of Schwan’s food. My favorite is their drumstick ice-cream cones!

I will miss seeing those distinctive faded-yellow trucks, and I feel bad for the Schwan’s drivers – hope they all got very good severance packages and/or job offers.
