Fireweed Hall and Mercantile

Posted on April 14, 2022April 14, 2022 By David In Great Falls

A recent trip to Fireweed Hall and Mercantile in Tracy!

It’s an adorable place run by an awesome lady named Molly. I guarantee that you will find SOMETHING fun and/or useful and/or tasty in there!

We bought dog treats, some cute fabric, Applets & Cotlets (!), and a few other goodies 🙂

They also host occasional live music, and there is a small “library” inside.

It’s located in what used to be a church, which has an interesting history – many of the contents of the church were used for the movie “Northfork” about 20 years ago. BTW, if you haven’t seen that movie – definitely worth a watch – if not for the plot, then for the incredible scenery and cinematography.

It was filmed in and around Augusta and Great Falls and points in between. And my wife got IMDB credit for her shopping prowess (she found some cool props and such used in the movie)! BTW, it got four stars from Roger Ebert, who called it “entrancing.”

OK, enough about the movie – watch this feature that Shannon did several weeks ago:

Now go make a “coulee run” and check out Fireweed Mercantile!
