Food truck season has arrived in Great Falls! We’ve seen several around town in recent days.
We had to stop and get some food from the N Thai truck a few days ago – line was consistently pretty long, between 10-15 people for several hours. I don’t care for Thai food, but my wife swears this stuff is AMAZING.
And the young couple that runs it is absolutely adorable! During the winter, they let people order via Facebook, and then pick up the meals outside the main gate at Malmstrom AFB.
We’ve also seen the Purple & Gold food truck and the Vintage Nana’s Indian Tacos truck around town lately.
And a few days ago, we saw a Facebook post about a a FISH & CHIPS food truck – learned that On The Hook seems to be based in Wyoming, and they travel around the Mountain West states selling, yep, fish and chips! They were in Missoula on Wednesday, on Helena on Friday – and stopped in Great Falls in between on April 7!
So we hopped in the car and headed over to North 40 on the east side of town – got there right at 11 a.m. – and were amazed. We counted at least 50 people standing in line waiting to get some fish and chips!
As much as we both have been craving fish and chips, we didn’t feel up to waiting for (likely) an hour. But folks later on said it was well worth the wait!
