Quantum Fiber

Great Falls has seen several internet providers pop up in recent years – for years, the two primary ISPs were Spectrum and CenturyLink.

But a few years ago, Starlink arrived (and I am very happy with it!), and then TDS began rolling out about a year ago (still waiting for my hook-up to give it a test), followed by Ziply.

And this week I began seeing ads for a new service called Quantum Fiber, which was a new name to me.

Naturally I went to check it out, and discovered that Quantum Fiber is actually the new name of CenturyLink:

The website boasts a “price for life” of $75/month for speeds up to 940Mbps, or $50/month for speeds up to 500Mbps.

No idea if it will give Spectrum and the others a run for their money, but it’s always nice to have another option. And I’ll give ’em a few points for the name – “quantum” is just a cool word.

So for now, going to continue with Starlink as my primary and Spectrum as my back-up provider.
