What a difference a day makes – the smoke is almost completely gone, and it’s about 20 degrees cooler!
The Photo Of The Day (above) is one I took this morning – it’s the building that for decades was home to Eddie’s Supper Club, at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 38th Street – and for the first time in literally decades, it looks waaaaay different.

This is what Eddie’s looked like in May 2017:

Eddie’s closed in June 2017 when the owners decided to retire. That was sad – it was one of our favorite places!
A few days after Eddie’s closed, they sold some of the interior stuff. The daughter of the owner told us that a man from Central Montana drove to Great Falls to buy – seriously – the booth that he and his wife had sat in many, many times over the years!
I was always tickled by this sheep picture…

…and we were fortunate to be able to buy it!

The new owners turned the building into a sports-bar type of place called Overtime; it opened in August 2018, but closed within a few months (maybe weeks?).
And then in 2020, the new new owners transformed it into the Portage Supper Club – we haven’t been there yet, but I’ve heard many good things about both the food and decor.
And now they’ve taken a big step by re-doing the exterior! I wish them the best and continued success.
The Link Of The Day is Montana Kids – it’s a fun site with tons of information, games, etc, all about Montana – for kids!
The Song Of The Day is one of my favorites from David Bowie: “Queen Bitch,” which in addition to being simply amazing was also used to good effect in the quirky movie “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.”
