Hello, Sunday – glad to see you! You’re looking mighty fine, with blue skies and a 9 a.m. temperature of 43 degrees!
The Photo Of The Day (above) is the Circle S Farm Market – it’s part of the Big Sky Deli out in Vaughn. We took a relaxing drive out there on Saturday for the first time in quite a while.
Inside Big Sky Deli (where they have an incredible selection of candy, BTW):
And inside the Circle S Farm Market – lots of fresh veggies and fruit (including apple cider) – look at all of the colors!
I don’t recall ever seeing pumpkins with these “bumps” on them…and those white-ish pumpkins are pretty cool. As for those funky-shaped ones…um…no idea.
There is also a cute playground for kids!
I don’t know when the Farm Market and the playground were added, but it sure makes the Big Sky Deli a fun place to visit.
The Link Of The Day is to the U.S. Air Force website – today is the 75th “birthday” of the U.S. Air Force, which was part of my life for more than 30 years.
The Song Of The Day is actually a two-fer: the intro narration and theme music to the 1960s TV show “The Green Hornet.” Sadly, the series lasted only one year, but it was an awesome show – played 100% straight, no winking or spoofy stuff. And if you’ve never watched the show but the music sounds familiar – you’re probably thinking of the scene from “Kill Bill vol 1” where The Bride is riding the motorcycle 🙂
The intro narration: “Another challenge for the Green Hornet, his aide Kato, and their rolling arsenal, the Black Beauty. On police records a wanted criminal, the Green Hornet is really Britt Reid, owner-publisher of the Daily Sentinel; his dual identity known only to his secretary, and to the district attorney. And now, to protect the rights and lives of decent citizens, rides The Green Hornet!“
