Penguin Fun!

Posted on January 1, 2022January 1, 2022 By David In Great Falls

For Christmas, my amazing wife got me something silly and so fun! I’ve loved these things for so many years – they’re so whimsical!

The box it came in was…um…well, “comity” isn’t a word normally associated with toys. Here’s one definition: “friendly social atmosphere : social harmony.” Yes, these penguins are friendly and…working in social harmony?

Here’s another definition: “Comity derives from the Latin comitas, courtesy, from cemis, friendly, courteous.” So yeah, sure – these penguins seem courteous 😀

One of the descriptions of this toy says: “This Penguin Racer is an amusingly kitsch slipping and sliding game! Three playful penguins are automatically hoisted up the moving ‘ski lift’ and then slide quickly down the winding slope, accompanied by a rhythmic, jolly cheeping sound.”

Another one states: “These silly penguins just love to slide and glide! Each penguin takes a turn to climb to the top of the mountain only to slip and slide all the way down the other side. Now they have to start their trek to the top again!”

OK, enough words – watch these penguins go!
