We watched a few nights ago (most of) a 1983 movie called “Grizzly 2: Revenge.” We missed the first 15 minutes, which is unfortunate, because apparently that is the only part that features George Clooney, Laura Dern, and Charlie Sheen – who get “top billing,” as if such a thing matters in this case.
Let me clarify – it is a movie that was shot in 1983, but officially released just a few months ago.
We did, however, watch the parts that features Oscar-winner Louise Fletcher (Nurse Ratched!), Deborah Foreman (Valley Girl!), and…many, many, many Hungarians. We’re searching all cable channels and streaming services now to find the next airing so we can enjoy the entire show, not just the latter 70 or so minutes.
But let me tell you – those 70 or so minutes (about 15 minutes of which are stock video, as noted THREE TIMES in the closing credits) just might be the absolute worst “movie” we have ever seen.
THANK GOODNESS it was the worst in the sense that it was so very ENJOYABLY bad. It absolutely makes no sense, and is also very entertaining and full of laughs. I’m pretty sure that someone with skills just a few rungs up higher on the ladder than me could cobble together a more comprehensible and credible grizzly bear movie than this, using nothing but stock video.
Anyway…click this link to learn a bit more about this absolutely baffling (but hilarious) movie.
