Montana in “Jeopardy!”

Some thoughts on “Jeopardy!” I actually auditioned for J! about 25 years ago – the olden days! – by sending in about 120 postcards, and getting lucky by having one of them drawn for an audition at a hotel in San Francisco. The audition consisted of 50 questions, and hopefuls had to get 35 correct to make it to the next round for consideration. I got…yep – 34 correct. Sigh.

Second, the recent string of guest hosts has been fine by me. They have all done a good job (yes, even the semi-sketchy Dr. Oz). Of course, I am extremely partial to Ken Jennings, as he is truly the greatest of all time (but James H. is #1 in my heart). But the last two weeks, featuring Aaron Rodgers, have been fun to watch, too. I literally had never heard of him until he was announced as a guest host a few months ago, but he has been great – I really like his subtle humor and laid-back delivery. Ultimately, though, it doesn’t REALLY matter who the host is – the online arguing and bickering about who should get the gig is just silly. “Jeopardy!” is not about the host – it’s about the contestants and the questions.

Third, it may be my imagination, but it sure seems that Montana has been getting a disproportionate amount of attention in recent months – “disproportionate” in terms of our small population and relative obscurity in all things national. But I love it! Here’s the answers that I’ve snapped over the last few months :
