Saturday! The sun has returned, and the sky is blue! Temperature at 9:49 a.m. is 58 degrees.
The Photo Of The Day (above) is a to-go order from the Roadhouse Diner a few years ago – Tara and her team are simply amazing 🙂 Burgers are awesome, buns are amazing – and the fries are even better.
They are known for creating some unique burgers – a Back To The Future Burger to celebrate the movie’s “anniversary,” the Commander In Beef Burger for when President Trump visited Great Falls, a special burger to mark the departure of beloved meteorologist Mike Rawlins, and more.
Before it was the Roadhouse, that quirky “log cabin” was Goode’s Q & Bayou Grill (oh how we miss that!), Pam’s Friendly Diner, and The Pine Cone Patio – you can still see “PCP” carved into the handle of one of the doors.
Bringing this up to let you know that the “front of house” crew at the Roadhouse is in the running for a “Servie” award from Yelp. Wanna vote? Click here.
The Link Of The Day is to the Ursuline Centre, that big building along Central Avenue near Paris Gibson Education Center. It has a museum, art gallery, conference center, and more. It’s a fascinating facility with more than 100 years of history.
The Song Of The Day is “Wolverton Mountain” by Claude King. It was a big country hit in the early 1960s, telling the tale of a man who is in love with the pretty daughter of Clifton Clowers. It was one of the first “classic country” songs I heard shortly after I moved to Montana, and for some reason it really stuck with me.
