Hello, everyone! Welcome to Thursday, where it is currently 58 degrees and still a bit hazy – but there is some sun peeking through! Mild temps for the next few days, signaling that AUTUMN is nearly here!
The Photo Of The Day is not great quality, but it features a lovely woman named Helga that I had the privilege of knowing and working with at Malmstrom Air Force Base from 2002 through 2008. She was smart, witty, caring, and baked an AMAZING apple strudel.
Sadly, she passed away a few days ago, just a few months after retiring. Helga was one of those rare souls that I literally never heard anyone say anything even remotely negative or bad about. She will be missed by her family, her friends, and the the team at the 341st Medical Group.
About the photo: it was Halloween 2008, and a group of civilian employees at the clinic surprised the heck out of me by dressing up like ME! Flannel shirts and some sporting fake beards! It was hilarious! Helga is standing up wearing the red flannel shirt. Some really awesome people in this photo!!!
The Link Of The Day is to Fetch Pet Boutique – this is where we take Ziggy to get haircuts – every girl is crazy about a well-groomed doggo! There are also plenty of tasty treats – Ziggy loves gnawing on “Salmon Sticks!” Also indoor and outdoor play areas for puppers of all sizes!
The Song Of The Day is an 80s classic – “Vienna Calling” by Falco:
Oh I am so sorry to hear this about Helga! ๐ฅ
This photo, brings such great memories ๐
It reminds me, as you know: Pempin’ ain’t easy…. but it’s necessary. ๐
Take care!
๐ Miss you Brenda!
Ahhhh โthe Daveโsโ! Good times! Thanks for the memory and the fitting tribute to Helga.
