Finally found out which coffee shop will be inside the new bank being built on River Drive near the 9th Street Bridge (and 10th Street Bridge)!
Work began on the new Independence Bank nearly a year ago, and when I cruised by on Sunday I saw a sign for True Brew.
I’m partial to City Brew, but True Brew is pretty cool, too – and True Brew does great on branding and marketing 🙂
If memory serves – True Brew began as “Mountain Mudd” in its first location at Central Avenue and 9th Street, and eventually became True Brew.
They opened a second location about a year ago, and this will make three. Very nice to see them expanding.
It’s also neat to see the bank taking shape.
And to anyone who complains “We don’t need another coffee shop!” – um…yes we do! Have you seen the lines at Starbucks, Florence Coffee, City Brew, and the rest? The more coffee shops, the better!
If you don’t think Great Falls “needs” another coffee shop, well…fine, that’s an opinion. But clearly the owner of True Brew disagrees, and was willing and able to invest in and grow along with Great Falls!
And for those keeping track – here is the new Starbucks on 3rd Street NW (near Walgreens) which opened a few months ago:
And here is the new City Brew, which just opened last week at the corner of 10th Avenue South and 13th Street (space formerly occupied by Suki Cafe, and before that Big Sky Bagel):
And reaching way back – here is the first Starbucks that opened in Great Falls – August 2005 (yes, that was the quality of cell phone photos back then):
