After several weeks of waiting, we finally have a new electricity pole! Well, not US, exactly – it’s in the backyard of our neighbor.
Utility crews have cut down fences and placed temporary fences in several yards so that the big trucks can get through over the last several days.
On Friday, April 1st, the huge pole that has been in our side yard for weeks finally got lifted and put into place – it was fascinating watching the teams coordinate and work together.
They had originally wanted to do it on Thursday, but the winds were a bit too gusty for them to do it safely, so it got bumped to Friday.
Power to the few houses affected was turned off at about 8:35 a.m. During that time, the wife and I finally headed out to visit Fireweed Hall & Mercantile in Sand Coulee for the first time – it was so cool! More about that soon…
We got home at about 11:30 a.m., and lo and behold – power restored! And not just power – this is the new 5G Electricity that everybody is talking about! 😀
Kudos to the utility crew!
